
Celebration of Achievement Evening at Langtons Hornchurch, 1 December 2011
A celebration of achievement for learners with learning difficulties and disabilities was held at Langtons hall in Hornchurch on 1st December 2011.
Havering Adult College - Education 4 Employment, was proud to share the evening of celebration and triumph with learners, familites and friends. Sue Butterworth, Group Director of Children's Services and Trevor Cook, Young People and Adult Learning Strategy Manager presented the learners with certificates and congratulated them on thier hard work and success.
Brenda Hunt, the Curriculum Development Manager for Havering Adult College - Education 4 Employment said: "The evening was a great success, some learners have overcome huge obstacles on their path to achievement. I'm very proud of them all".

ASDAN Award for 'Outstanding Practice' at Havering Adult College
Havering Adult College has received the above award in recognition of 'Outstanding Practice' in running ASDAN courses at our Nason Waters Centre in Romford.
Education 4 Employment based at Nason Waters in South Hornchurch is an adult educational service for adults with learning difficulties and disabilities. All qualifications are nationally accredited and focus on developing the learners with skills towards independence and employment.
ASDAN Senior Managers praised both the students and staff on the following:
'Beautifully produced portfolios for both Personal Progress and Preparatory Awards. Staff have taken great care to ensure that activities for the learners are meaningful and interesting and that they relate precisely to the PP standards. Outstanding Internal Moderation systems in place.'
